Revolutionary Players focuses on the history of the Industrial Revolution in the West Midlands in Britain between the years 1700 and 1830.

It comprehensively examines the history of the Ditherington site and those involved in its development, with many illustrations.  There is also information about the 1804 Benyons/Bage Mill in Castlefields and Bage's linen weaving mill of 1815, in Kingsland.

Discovering Shropshire History - Flaxmill-Maltings

A brief history of the development and work in the Mill from its construction in 1797 (part one) through its rebirth as a Maltings in 1897/8 and its closure in 1987 (part two).

There are also interesting section on the The Flax Process, Working Conditions, Working in the Mill, plus a couple of aerial photographs and useful links to the Shrewsbury Area.

The Shrewsbury & Newport Canal was an important factor in the location and early workings of the Flaxmill.  The link gives access to the website of the Trust with contacts, information, history, photos, walks and details of restoration plans.
