William Jones and his Maltings at Ditherington, Shrewsbury

A free talk about the Maltings and William Jones, the Maltster who took over the buildings in 1897.

On Wednesday the 16th of June at 7pm the Friends of the Flaxmill Maltings are offering a short lecture given by Maltings expert Amber Patrick. It will cover the site's conversion from a flax mill to a maltings in the late 19th century, and its 90 year history as an operational maltings up to its closure in 1987.

The talk will last about 45 minutes, and will be followed by a Q&A session with Amber and with the Friends of the Flaxmill Maltings staff.
